Dear FFA Parent/Supporter
Hello my name is Timmy Morris. As President of the Pine Grove FFA Alumni; I would like to take this time to invite you to become a member of our organization. Many of you were in FFA in high school and for some of you this is your first experience with the FFA. To become a member of the Alumni, you don’t have to be a former FFA member. The FFA Alumni is a support group for the local and national FFA. At the local level here are some things that we do:
a. Sponsor a 1,000.00 scholarship for a senior going on to school
b. Pay for one night’s hotel at the State Ag Judging Contest (500.00)
c. Pay for one night’s hotel at the State Ham/Bacon Show (500.00)
d. Buy members that sell 500+ an FFA jacket (we purchased 10 for the last 3 years)
e. Helped finance some of the awards at our FFA Chapter Banquet
f. Help sponsor a Relay for Life team for
g. Hold a Chicken Roast for Relay for Life
h. Hold a Raccoon Hunt for a fund raiser for the Alumni
i. Hold a “Snack Shack” at Town/Country Days for a fund raiser of the Alumni
At the National Level; please click on to www.ffa.org and go to the Alumni folder at the top for some of the ways that the monies at the national level is used.
The annual dues are 20.00. Ten dollars is forwarded to the national and ten stays at the local level. If a husband and wife joins; its still only 20.00.
We meet the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Vo-Ag room. If you have any questions; please call 889-3151 and ask for Mr. Henderson.
